Mission Statement

PURPOSE

The Gnostic Order of the Light is an organization dedicated to assisting individuals in achieving spiritual enlightenment during their lifetime.  It is our desire in The Order to serve as a spiritual environment where we teach and empower our students to learn and grow past limiting beliefs.

The purpose of this organization is to create a safe environment where each individual focuses upon their spiritual process, and where they can flourish under the guidance of The Order’s tutelage, trainings, and workshops. We incorporate a range of spiritual practices that will assist each person with living a devotional life, combining the spiritual with the “real world”, in alignment with our Doctrine of the Gnostic Order, as well as those of most world religions.

Gnostics live a simple, ascetic life; the Order is dedicated to providing a safe, open, healthy environment to all our guests and members.  The beauty of nature is beneficial to all humans; one high priority goal is to continually embrace beautiful and utilitarian outside spaces for activities such as nature walks, walking meditations, etc.  The incorporation of Nature allows our students and members the opportunity to see their place within the context of the world the Creator made for us – not separate.

VISION

The Order’s main goal is to create The Monastic Center for Spiritual Empowerment and Harmony – an intentional living community where individuals can focus on their spiritual life and process.  The vision we have for the Center is to create a living community that is in alignment with nature but is also a part of the local community, for spirituality is part of being human.

As a source of potential future income, one high priority goal is to create a Retreat environment where individual paying guests will be able to enjoy a number of activities including but not limited to: walking in the labyrinth and gardens, classes in topics such as yoga and essential oils, various types of therapeutic bodywork such as massage, acupuncture, and reflexology sessions, meditations (also attended by staff and residents), and spiritually-based one-on-one sessions with various staff and/or teachers.

The Center will be able to host small group events, such as team building and workshops for those in alignment with our goals and purposes.

These small, intimate retreats, serving possibly up to 10 visitors onsite, thus facilitating the perfect environment for participants to devote time to their Work and to the desired experience of said activity.

INCLUSIVENESS AND ACCEPTANCE

Our vision is to create, over time, a resource for human society to learn about and experience spirituality in different forms and formats while being an intentional community of like-minded individuals where people feel respected, accepted, and encouraged to grow in all ways.

We intend to applications as guests and as potential members from all individuals, regardless of religious denominations, spiritual backgrounds, or other ways they may identify themselves (race/creed/color/sexuality/etc.).  We understand some come to us for a season, for us to plant a seed and for them to learn more about themselves and their potentiality, and we know some arrive on our doorstep, surprised they have arrived “home”.  It is not our personal proclivities which dictate who may become a member, but rather the Guidance they and we receive from the Creator directly.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH

The Gnostic Order recognizes that while many people learn similar processes and procedures, each person lives their own unique Spiritual Path.  We provide all that is available to us to each of our members, because as they grow and connect deeper with their spirituality, our Center grows and becomes a better place, and thus the world around us becomes a better place.
